    Research and Application of Coal Pillar Size Based on Unified Strength Theory

    • 摘要: 为了提高煤炭采出率,保障巷道稳定安全,煤炭开采时通常设计合理的煤柱尺寸。根据留设煤柱的不同作用,将煤柱分为“保护巷道”和“保护地表”2类。基于统一强度理论,分别对2种类型巷道进行弹塑性分析,建立了考虑中间主应力影响的极限强度计算公式,进而得到2类巷道的屈服宽度及煤柱尺寸的统一计算式。运用该公式计算了某矿8214工作面“保护巷道”煤柱尺寸,并与数值计算对比分析,认为护巷煤柱宽度取10 m是合适的。

       

      Abstract: In order to improve the coal recovery rate and ensure the safety of the tunnel, the coal pillar size is generally designed in coal mining. The coal pillars are divided into two types: "protecting roadway" and "protecting surface". We analyzed the elastic-plastic of the two types of roadway respectively and obtained the ultimate strength calculation formula considering the effect of intermediate principal stress based on the unified strength theory. We obtained the calculation formula of yielding width and coal pillar size. By using this formula, the pillar size of "protecting roadway" at 8214 working face is calculated, and the calculated results are compared with the numerical calculation. The width of the coal pillar with 10 m is appropriate.
