    Determination of reasonable mining face length for high strength fully mechanized caving mining in low gas seams

    • 摘要: 为了确定低瓦斯煤层高强综放开采工作面的合理长度,以布尔台矿42108综放面为研究对象,推导了综放工作面以通风能力校核工作面长度的公式,利用Fluent数值软件模拟了不同工作面长度下的瓦斯移运规律。结果表明:综放工作面以通风能力校核工作面长度的公式推导应充分考虑割煤及放煤回采率的差异性;工作面长度与瓦斯涌出量的作用关系存在临界值,工作面长度超过临界值后瓦斯涌出将对工作面安全生产产生较大威胁;结合理论计算与数值模拟结果最终确定42108工作面的合理长度为310 m。

       

      Abstract: In order to determine the reasonable length of the mining face for high strength fully mechanized caving mining in low gas seams, taking 42108 fully mechanized caving face of Buertai Mine as the research object, the formula of checking the mining face length with ventilation capacity is deduced, and the gas movement laws under different mining face lengths are simulated by Fluent numerical software. The results show that the difference of coal cutting and coal caving recovery rate should be fully considered in the derivation of the formula for checking the length of mining face with ventilation capacity. There is a critical value between the length of the mining face and the amount of gas emission. When the length of the mining face exceeds the critical value, the gas emission will pose a great threat to the safety production of the mining face. Combined with theoretical calculation and numerical simulation results, the reasonable length of 42108 mining face is finally determined to be 310 m.
