Numerical Simulation of Fault Activation Under Influence of Multiple Factors

With numerical simulation software FLAC^3D, we simulate different fault angles, working face advancing distance and hanging wall and footwall mining situation respectively. We obtained fault plane stress value and displacement under the action of various factors. Combined with the sensitive index of fault slippage and instability: the stress ratio of fault plane, we get influencing mechanism of various factors on fault activation.
